 American actor Lisa Valerie Kudrow, /'ku/droUKOO-droh, was born on July 30 1963. She rose to international fame because of her role as Phoebe Buffay in the American sitcom Friends, which aired from 1994 to 2004. The show earned her Primetime Emmy, Screen Actors Guild, Satellite and American Comedy awards. Since then, Phoebe was named one of the most memorable TV characters. Phoebe was Kudrow's first major role, which led to her successful film career. Kudrow received numerous awards, including the Primetime Emmy Award in Outstanding Supporting Actress for an Comedy Series from 15 nominations, two Screen Actors Guild Awards in 12 nominations, and an Golden Globe Award nomination.
