 American actor Amy Lou Adams was born on August 20, 1974. Her fame is based on her comedic and dramatic roles. She has been featured three times on the annual list of the most well-paid actresses in the globe. Her awards include two Golden Globe Awards and nominations for six Academy Awards and seven British Academy Film Awards. She made her debut on film with Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999) in which she played in a support part. The appearances she made on television were followed by "mean girl" roles in feature films with low budgets. Her first appearance was in Steven Spielberg's biopic Catch Me If You Could (2002). However she was out of work for a year. Her breakthrough came in 2005, when she played an intelligent, pregnant woman in Junebug (2005). The independent comedy-drama earned her the first Academy Award nomination.
