Aisling Bea

Bea started appearing as a part-time actress on Irish or British television programs in 2009, started her career as a stand-up comedian in 2011. The year 2012 saw her begin appearing on a variety of sitcoms and sketch shows. After winning an award during the Edinburgh Comedy Awards she began to appear regularly on numerous panel shows for which she was a frequent guest. In 2016 and 2017, she was a part of 8 Out of 10 Cats' team, as well as a participant in the 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown spinoff. Bea and her older sister Sinead, were raised in the home of Helen Moloney (n e Moloney) who was a jockey as well as a teacher at a secondary school. They were obsessed with races as well as horses. Bea was a guide for the Irish National Stud in her beginning years. But she was aware it wasn't something she wanted to do as a profession and preferred doing.
