 The track "Angie" was released from The Rolling Stones from England was included in the album released in 1973 Goats Head Soup. It also served as the first single from the album's August 1973 release, which came out on the 20th of August 1973. While Mick Jagger and Keith Richards are the two artists credited with the track, Richards is acknowledged to write the majority of the lyrics and Jagger singing a few lyrics. "Angie" is an instrumental ballad with a guitar, was recorded between November 1972 between December 1972 and November 1972. The song depicts the end of an affair. Richards composed the piano melody for the song. Nicky Hopkins was a regular on Rolling Stones recordings. Nicky Harrison arranged the strings for the song and also "Winter" as part of his arrangement. A peculiarity of the original recording is that Mick Jagger's vocal track that was recorded prior to when the final vocals were recorded and is not heard throughout the entire song. This effect is often known as a ghost voice.
