Bernie Taupin

Bernard John Taupin, CBE (born 22 May 1950), is a famous English musician, singer, and visual artist. The long-term songwriting collaboration and collaboration with Elton John is his most noteworthy achievement. Taupin composed the lyrics for the majority of John's hits. In the year 1967, Taupin responded to an advertisement in New Musical Express by Liberty Records. John responded to the same advertisement and the two have worked on several albums together. John and Taupin were both inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame 1992. John was the son of Robert Taupin, and Daphne was the daughter of John Leonard Palchett Poppy Cort who was a Cambridge University-educated classics teacher and the former Rector of Sale, Greater Manchester (then was known in the past as Cheshire).
