 Gemma Christina Arterton, born on February 2, 1986 is an English actress. Her debut in a feature film was with the comedy St. Trinian's (2007). Arterton played the Bond Girl Strawberry Fields in Quantum of Solace (2008). The performance brought her an Empire Award as Best Newcomer. In recognition of her performance in the production of The Escape, she was given the Harper's Bazaar Woman of the Year Award. Her highlights in the theatre include her role in The Duchess of Malfi (2014) and Made in Dagenham (2014). She also appeared in the films Nell Gwynn (2016), Saint Joan (2017) as well as Made in Dagenham (2014). Arterton has been nominated for Olivier Awards for both Nell Gwynn as well as Made in Dagenham. She was also awarded the Evening Standard Theatre Award.
