Dame Helen Mirren, DBE (born Helen Lydia Mironoff on 26 July 1945), is an English actor. She is the only actor in the United States to have received the Triple Crown of Acting. She was honored with an Academy Award and British Academy Film Award for her performance in the role of the Queen Elizabeth II in The Queen. A Tony Award as well as an Laurence Olivier Award were also given for the role. In 1975, she made her West End stage debut. Her success on film and television was amplified by her appearances in films such as The Madness of King George (1994).
