Laura San Giacomo, born on November 14, 1962, is an American actress. She played Cynthia in the film Sex, Lies and Videotape (1989) in which she received the Independent Spirit Award as Best Supporting Female, Kit De Luca for Pretty Woman (1990), Crazy Cora for Quigley Down Under (1990), Nadine cross in The Stand (1994) and Maya Gallo for Just Shoot Me! (1997-2003). She was an two-time Golden Globe Award and BAFTA nominee. She also appeared on Rhetta Rodriguez in the main character on the TNT drama Saving Grace (2007–2010), as well as Dr. Grace Confalone, the regular character on CBS' NCIS (2016–2019, 2022). After graduation she relocated to New York. San Giacomo was then able to be seen in a variety of theater productions, like the Garry Marshall-Lowell Ganz production Wrong Turn at Lungfish (Los Angeles) as well as the Princeton/McCarter Theatre production Three Sisters and Off-Broadway in Beirut. She also played a role in the Italian American Reconciliation and regional productions of Shakespeare's The Tempest and As You Like It and Crimes of the Heart. San Giacomo was given a particular mention in a review of As You Like It at Walnut Street Theatre's production in 1986.
