 American singer Remy Ma Remy Ma is Reminisce Mackie (nee Smith), born on May 30 in 1980. Big Pun discovered her and she became famous as a member of Fat Joe's Terror Squad. Her debut album called There's Something About Remy Based on an Actual Story in the year 2006. The album was not a huge success , and reached the top spot at 33 on the Billboard 200. Ma's top commercial hits include "Whuteva" and "Ante Up (Remix)," "Lean Back" and "All the Way up". She was one of four winners of the BET Award for Best Female Hip-Hop Performer in 2005 and 2017. Ma has won two Vibe Awards and two Source Awards. Ma is being considered for nominations for four Grammy Awards. Mackie has been a regular on the reality TV show VH1's Love & Hip Hop: New York since 2015 with her husband Papoose. Mackie was born in The Bronx and grew up in the Castle Hill Projects. As a young girl she was exposed to the addiction of her family.
