American actor Shemar Franklin Moore was born on April 20, 1970. He is most well-known for his performances as Malcolm Winters (1994-2005) on The Young and the Restless, Derek Morgan (2005-2016) as well as the role of Hondo in S.W.A.T. The entire series airs on CBS. From 1999 until 2003, Moore was the third regular host of Soul Train. He has been awarded eight NAACP Image Awards and the 2000 Daytime Emmy Award as Outstanding Supporting Actor in the Drama Series.
