Simone Missick, nee Cook was born on January 19 1982. She is an American actress who has appeared in films and on television. She is best known for her role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Detective Misty Knight in Luke Cage as well as the roles she is in The Defenders and Iron Fist. She starred in All Rise as Lola Carmichael. Missick also studied master classes at the British American Drama Academy in England. She studied with Ben Kingsley, Alan Rickman, as well as Jane Lapotaire.In 2008, Missick was featured in the lead female role of Reese Knight in the independent feature The Road to Sundance.In 2012, Missick played the role of Elise in the TV film A Taste of Romance.In 2014, Missick appeared in the series Ray Donovan as Porschla.In 2016, Missick had her breakout role in the series Luke Cage as Misty Knight. Missick reprised her role in The Defenders and in the second season of Iron Fist.In February of this year, it was announced that Missick was cast in the main role in the role of Trepp for the second season of Netflix science-fiction drama Altered Carbon.
