Smith Show that airs on ESPN Radio. Smith is a columnist for ESPNNY.com, ESPN.com and The Philadelphia Inquirer. Smith was born in Bronx, New York City. Smith was born in the Queens' Hollis area. Smith is the sixth child of six. Smith is the oldest of four siblings as well as an older brother called Basil who died in a crash in 1992. His father is an half-brother. Smith's parents hail from Saint Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands. His father was the owner of an hardware store. Smith's maternal grandmother who was white was his great-grandmother.
