 Imelda Marcos net worth: Imelda Marcos was a Filipino politician diplomat, diplomat and ambassador who had a maximum value of $5 billion. Imelda Marcos was born Imelda Remedios Visitacion Trinidad Romualdez in Manila, Philippines in July 1929. She was the wife and half of the former Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos. Her collection of over 1000 shoes is what made her famous. Before she got married she was a performer and model. She traveled across the globe, collecting art and real estate with the help of posts she held within the government. She was the Ambassador Plenipotentiary Extraordinary, Minister of Human Settlements and Governor of Metropolitan Manila. Benigno Aquino Jr. was murdered by President Marcos. This resulted in the People Power Revolution, which made them exiled from office and forced them into exile in Hawaii. Then, they were granted amnesty and allowed to go back to the Philippines. A portion of her collection of shoes is displayed at the National Museum of the Philippines. Imelda Marcos was the protagonist of the documentary Imelda in 2003.
