The new complex, which will span 50,000 square feet, will be a home for seniors living in poverty within the San Fernando Valley. Trebek did not give it as an unintentional donation. Since the beginning, he's contributed financially to Hope of the Valley. He gave $100,000 to the Hope of the Valley in March of 2020. The money will be used to build the construction of a North Hollywood complex. The "Alex and Jean Trebek Multipurpose Room" will be located there after it's completed. It will include around 80 beds, bathrooms, as also a laundry room.
