Madeline Gail Kahn, nee Wolfson, was a famous American comedian as well as a singer, actress, and actor. She is most well-known for her roles as a comedic actress in Mel Brooks and Peter Bogdanovich films, including"What's Up Doc? (1972), Young Frankenstein (1974), High Anxiety (1997), History of the World, Part I (1981) and many more. Kahn was also famous for her roles as a comedian in the Mel Brooks films, such as What's Up Doc? (1974), On the Twentieth Century (1978) as well as In the Boom Boom Room (1974). In 1987, she was awarded an Daytime Emmy Award for her part in the role of Madeline Wayne in an ABC Afterschool Special. After receiving a second Tony Award nomination in 1989 for the revival of the play Born Yesterday, she won the 1993 Tony Award as Best Actress in a Play. Other roles in films she has played included The Cheap Detective (1978), City Heat (84), Clue (85), Nixon (1995).
