Nicolas Kim Coppola, born on January 7, 1964 is an American actor. He is also referred to as Nicolas Cage. He is a member of the Coppola family and has won numerous awards, such as the Academy Award, Screen Actors Guild Award as well as the Golden Globe Award. John Willis' Screen World Vol. 36, listed him as one of the 12 promising Actors in 1984. He was awarded the Academy Award in 1995 for his performance in Leaving Las Vegas. His portrayal of Charlie Kaufman and Donald Kaufman in Adaptation (2002) was the second Academy Award nomination.
