 Marina Sirtis, /'se?rtIs/ was born on 29 March 1955. She is a British actor. Her most famous role is her part in Star Trek: The Next Generation as Counselor Deanna Trii. Her family was from Harringay (North London). Sirtis says that she was three when her self was sexually assaulted by the sons of her babysitter's teenage daughter. Sirtis was diagnosed with an eating disorder following the trauma of the attack. Sirtis was suffering with an eating disorder for more than 20 years following the attack. She sought therapy in the 90s and was eventually able to overcome her trauma and resume eating well.
