 Renee Felice Smith was born on the 16th of January in 1985. Smith is most well-known for her character Nell Jones in NCIS: Los Angeles. Smith was born in New York City to mixed Italian and Irish parents. She was born in Patchogue-Medford High School, Long Island, New York. She was also a student at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. There she graduated with distinction. Smith double majored in journalism and history , and also at Stonestreet Studios Conservatory. Smith made her stage debut with Wildflower, Second Stage. Amy Sherman-Palladino commissioned her to play Nell Jones on the sitcom Wyoming in The CW. However, there was only a pilot created as the show was not selected by the network. The Wyoming Story is Smith's first film pilot. Smith was then cast as Nell Jones in NCIS: Los Angeles in 2010. It was initially planned that Smith would appear as an ongoing character.
