Toni Michele Braxton, born on October 7, 1967 was an American R&B artist. Braxton is among the most popular female performers ever selling over 70 million albums across the globe. Braxton has won seven Grammy Awards, nine Billboard Music Awards and seven American Music Awards. There are numerous other awards. Braxton was admitted into Georgia's Music Hall of Fame in the year 2011. Braxton was presented with the Legend Award at 2017 Soul Train Music Awards. Braxton began performing alongside her sisters in the latter part of the 1980s in the group known as The Braxtons. The group was later signed to Arista Records. Braxton's debut album, self-titled, was released in 1993, after she was spotted by producers Antonio “L.A.” Reid and Kenneth"Babyface" Edmonds. The album ranked first on the Billboard 200 charts and sold more than 10 million copies across the globe. The songs "Another Sad Love Song", as well as "Breathe Again" were also international hit songs. Braxton received three Grammy Awards for the album and also the Grammy Award for Best New Artist.
