Maher

 William Maher (/ma/r/; born on January 20th, 1956), is a popular American writer and comedian. Maher also works as an actor, producer, political commentator and actor. Maher's HBO political talk show Real Time With Bill Maher (2003 to present) as well as his late-night show, Politically Incorrect (1993-192002) is popular. Maher created the podcast Club Random in 2022. Maher is known for his humorous political satire and sociopolitical comments. His subjects include politics, religion as well as correctness and mass media. Religulous is his documentary about religion he produced in 2008, is inspired by his skepticism. Maher is a staunch advocate for animal rights and has been a member of the PETA board since 1997. Maher is also as an advisory board member for Project Reason. In 2005, Maher was ranked 38 on Comedy Central's list of the 100 most popular stand-up comedians. On September 14, 2010 Maher was honored with the Hollywood Walk of Fame Star. In recognition of his work as Vice's executive producer, Maher was awarded an award in the form of a Primetime Emmy Award in 2014.
